Michigan Municipalities · Water & Wastewater Operators
AMWOP helps municipalities fill operator vacancies before they become emergencies — we recruit, vet, and place operators as your direct hires, then develop them for a full 12 months. We also prepare Michigan operators to pass their EGLE wastewater exams.

The Pipeline
One system, built for the problem every Michigan plant manager knows: experienced operators are retiring, vacancies sit open, and a plant cannot wait. Here is exactly what AMWOP does — in order.
We find candidates for your open operator role — people suited to municipal water and wastewater work, not generic applicants.
Every candidate is screened before you ever interview them, so your time goes only to people who fit the plant and the community.
The operator is hired by your municipality, on your payroll, as your employee. AMWOP places — you employ.
Every hire is enrolled in a structured 12-month operator development program, so a new hire becomes a reliable operator — not a revolving door.
Ask one question: who is your single point of failure — and when do they leave? If one retirement or resignation would leave your plant uncovered, that is the conversation to have now, not after the notice lands. Start the conversation →
For Municipalities
Courses and books are the on-ramp. The pipeline is the engine. If you are facing any of these, AMWOP was built for you:
A course seat is often the lowest-risk first step into a pipeline relationship: send an operator to exam prep, see the quality firsthand, then talk placement when the next opening comes.

For Municipalities · New Service
A personalized facility manual in two volumes, written for your facility — not a generic template. One-time pricing, based on the size and complexity of your plant.
Range: $6,000–$9,000 for larger or more complex plants.
Two books, two homes: Volume 1 stays at the facility for day-to-day operations and safety use. Volume 2 stays with the new employee — their book to learn the plant's treatment process from, and to prepare for the state exam.
Approval required: the plant superintendent / safety officer must approve LOTO sheets before use.
This is the facility's book — it stays at the plant, for the facility's own day-to-day use.
Volume 2 covers your facility's actual treatment process — how your plant treats wastewater, written specifically for the system you run, whether that is an SBR, an oxidation ditch, or your facility's own process. It teaches the operator on the system they will actually work on, at your facility.
This book stays with the new employee — it is theirs to learn from and keep. Volume 1, by contrast, stays at the facility for the plant's own use.
Volume 1 is detailed above at $7,000. The complete personalized manual is two volumes at $7,000 per facility, one time ($6,000–$9,000 for larger or more complex plants).
A 64-second narrated overview of Volume 1 — what it covers, the $7,000 one-time price, and how to reach us.
This is a design mockup showing how a personalized Volume 1 would look for a city — using the City of Port Huron as the example. It is not Port Huron's actual manual, it was not commissioned by the City of Port Huron, and the interior pages show the structure and layout only, not that plant's real procedures.
In a real manual, each section is written for that facility's own system and equipment. This mockup shows the page layout only.
| Field | Shown as |
|---|---|
| Equipment | [Sample pump — placeholder] |
| Procedure | Lockout/tagout for pump repair |
| Lock / tag points | [Listed per equipment in the real manual] |
Plant Superintendent / Safety Officer approval — must approve LOTO sheets before use
Placeholder fields only — no actual Port Huron equipment or procedure is shown in this mockup.

About AMWOP
AMWOP — America's Municipal Water Operator Pipeline — was founded by Wallace Riase, a Michigan municipal wastewater operator who has worked in the field since 2018, starting with the City of Mount Clemens (September 2018 – November 2020) and then serving as Operations Supervisor / Operator in Charge with Genesee County Water & Waste Services (November 2020 – February 2026), after earlier industrial wastewater work as a Chief Wastewater Operator.
He studies constantly, holds a Michigan Class B license, and has his Class A exam in progress. The books and courses were built from his own study lessons, research, and state license material, tested against exams he sat — built to be the most complete exam-prep manuals in Michigan.
AMWOP exists because he watched the same problem from inside the plant: experienced operators leaving, nobody in the pipeline behind them. So he built the pipeline.

Questions
AMWOP recruits and vets water and wastewater operator candidates, places them as your direct hires, and enrolls every hire in a structured 12-month operator development program. You employ the operator; AMWOP builds and supports the pipeline that found and develops them.
A personalized facility manual is two volumes for $7,000 per facility, one time — with a range of $6,000–$9,000 for larger or more complex plants. Volume 1, the Facility Operations & Safety Manual, is $7,000 and contains facility-specific SOPs, daily routines, unit-by-unit procedures for that plant's actual treatment system, and lockout/tagout for pump repair, including equipment-specific LOTO sheets. The plant superintendent / safety officer must approve LOTO sheets before use. Volume 1 stays at the facility, for the plant's own use. Volume 2 covers the facility's actual treatment process — how that plant treats wastewater, written for its specific system, whether an SBR, an oxidation ditch, or the plant's own process — teaching the operator on the system at their facility, and doubling as preparation for the state exam. Volume 2 stays with the new employee. The example book on this page, using the City of Port Huron, is a mockup showing the design and layout only.
No. AMWOP courses are exam preparation only. They do not provide credits or continuing education. Their goal is to prepare operators to pass the EGLE state certification exam — operators earn and keep their license through EGLE, after passing.
Course pricing is published in the Municipal Training Program Pricing section above. D-Level (26-week): $3,000 base per participant — five enrollments total $13,500, with individual discounts for the 2nd–5th participants. B-Level (26-week): $4,000 base per participant — two enrollments total $7,800, as published. For enrollment inquiries, email sales@amwop.com or call 586-846-7765.
No — books are sold separately from courses. Each course is built around its book (Class D or Class B), and operators need their own copy.
Send the Municipal Inquiry above, email sales@amwop.com, or call 586-846-7765. Tell us about your vacancy, your retirement timeline, or the exam your operators are facing — that first conversation is about your coverage, not a sales pitch.

For Wallace Only · Not Part of the Public Website
Everything above this line is the website your visitors will see. Everything below is your manual — how this site runs for $0/month, what each piece is, and the exact steps to make it your real amwop.com. Read it top to bottom once. After that, you'll only ever need the checklists.
Important: this preview page combines the site + manual so you can review both in one place. The file you upload to Cloudflare in Step 3 is a separate public-only copy with this manual removed — Muse prepares that copy for you, so the manual never appears on amwop.com.
Start Here
Think of your website like a house. You only need three things, and Wix currently rents you all three in one bundle — that's the fee you're paying.
Your pages, words, and pictures. The site above is already built as files you own. Files don't cost rent — you just need somewhere to put them.
amwop.com — the name people type. This is the ONE thing worth paying for: about $10–$15 per year. You keep your exact same address. Never let this expire.
The service that shows your files to visitors. Wix charges monthly for this. Cloudflare Pages does it free — no monthly bill, no visitor limits for a site like yours.
Keep your amwop.com address (~$12/year), put your free website files on Cloudflare Pages (free), take book payments through Stripe Payment Links ($0/month) — and the Wix monthly fee goes away completely.
| Piece | On Wix (now) | Your Own Site (this plan) |
|---|---|---|
| Hosting (showing the site) | Part of your monthly Wix plan | $0/month — Cloudflare Pages free tier |
| Domain amwop.com | Renewed through Wix | ~$10–$15 / year — keep it, transfer or just point it (Step 5) |
| Selling books | Needs a Wix plan that includes a store | $0/month — Stripe Payment Links; Stripe only takes its normal card % when a book actually sells |
| Inquiry form | Built into Wix | $0 — inquiries go straight to sales@amwop.com |
| Email sales@amwop.com | Tied to your current setup — do not touch until Step 7 | Unchanged. Moving the website does NOT move your email if you follow the steps in order. |
| TOTAL recurring | Monthly, every month | About $12 per YEAR |
Why Cloudflare Pages and not the other free options? Netlify and Vercel are also free and fine. GitHub Pages is not recommended for AMWOP — its terms restrict using it as a free host for a commercial business site. Cloudflare Pages allows business use on the free tier, is fast, includes the security certificate (the padlock) free, and can also hold your domain in the same account.
Go-Live Steps
Do these in order. Your Wix site stays live the whole time — visitors see no gap. Only cancel Wix at the very last step, after the new site is tested. Total hands-on time: about 1–2 hours, and Muse can walk you through any step live.
You're looking at it. Read the website above, tap every button, check it on your phone. Tell Muse any wording changes. Nothing goes public until you say “go.”
Go to cloudflare.com → Sign Up → use sales@amwop.com and a new strong password (save it in your password keeper). Pick the Free plan — if it asks for a card, you're on the wrong button; the free plan needs no card.
In Cloudflare: Workers & Pages → Create → Pages → Upload assets. Muse will hand you one ZIP file containing only the public website — this Owner's Manual is NOT in that ZIP (it stays as your private document). Drag the ZIP in, name the project amwop, click Deploy. In about a minute Cloudflare gives you a free test address like amwop.pages.dev — that's your new site, live, before anyone else can see it. Before going further, open the test address and confirm the manual is not there — only the website should appear.
Open amwop.pages.dev on your phone and a computer. Check: every page scrolls, the inquiry form opens an email to sales@amwop.com, book buttons work, phone number taps to call. Fix list → Muse → re-upload (same place, takes a minute).
In Cloudflare Pages → your project → Custom domains → Set up a domain → amwop.com. Cloudflare will show you one of two paths:
Create / sign in at stripe.com with the business account. In Stripe: Payment Links → New — make one link per product: Class D Book $199.95 · Class B Book $249.95 · Package 5 $949.76 · Package 3 $712.36. Turn ON “collect shipping address.” Then give the four links to Muse — the PURCHASE buttons above get pointed at them and you re-upload once. No monthly fee; Stripe deducts its standard card percentage only when a sale happens, and pays out to the business bank account.
Your sales@amwop.com email must keep working through the move. Before Step 5 takes effect, confirm where your email is hosted (Google Workspace, Microsoft, or Wix) and make sure its DNS records (called MX records) are copied into Cloudflare exactly. Muse will check this with you — do not skip it: it's the one step where a mistake can interrupt email.
Once amwop.com points to Cloudflare (usually minutes, can take a few hours), visit amwop.com yourself: confirm it's the NEW site, the padlock shows, the form works, and send yourself a test book order through Stripe's test mode. Ask one other person to open it on their phone.
After 2–3 days of the new site working: in Wix, turn off auto-renew / cancel the premium plan. Do NOT delete the domain inside Wix if your domain is still registered there — cancel the website plan, keep the domain until its transfer is complete. Then the monthly fee is gone for good.
The Join The AMWOP Pipeline application form no longer opens the applicant's email app. When someone submits it, a free service called FormSubmit delivers the application straight to sales@amwop.com and automatically emails the applicant their Aptitude Assessment download link — no step for you. One thing is needed before that works live: the very first time anyone submits the form, FormSubmit sends an activation email to sales@amwop.com asking you to confirm the address. Click the confirmation link in that one email, once — after that, every application and every assessment email flows automatically. If the first applicant's application seems to go nowhere, check the sales@amwop.com inbox (and its spam folder) for that activation email.
1. Never let amwop.com expire — set auto-renew ON for the domain, always. Losing the name is the only truly expensive mistake.
2. Never cancel Wix before Step 8 is verified — Wix stays as your safety net until the new site is proven live.
3. Never delete DNS records you don't recognize during the move — especially MX (email) records. Copy first, ask Muse, then change.
Tap the button to copy this list, then paste it into your notes and tick items off as you go.
Will people still find amwop.com?
Yes — same address, same Google listing. The address never changes; only what's behind it does.
What if the site goes down?
Cloudflare Pages hosts some of the largest sites on the internet on the same network. If a bad upload ever broke something, re-uploading the previous ZIP fixes it in a minute — keep the ZIP Muse gives you.
Can I still update it myself?
You don't edit code — you tell Muse (or any web helper) the change in plain words, get updated files, and upload. No Wix editor, but also no Wix bill, and no one can hold your site hostage.
What does Muse still need from me to finish?
Three things only you can supply: (1) your approval of this preview, (2) your Stripe account for the payment links, and (3) sitting with Muse for the email/DNS check in Step 7. Everything else is built.
